Relationship & Sex Education
Relationship & Sex Education is an important part of a young person’s education and our aim is to provide students with factual information and enable them to make healthy, informed choices as they move into adult life. We aim to increase knowledge, change attitudes and enhance skills, in order to positively impact young people’s behaviour.
These lessons are taught by teachers within our humanities department who have been provided with specialist training in the subject. Some topics within the curriculum will be taught in single sex groups, where it is felt this is appropriate.
It is important that parents are fully aware of our curriculum content and have full trust in our intentions in this important area of personal development for our students. A copy of the letter which was emailed home to parents and carers can be found here.
