As part of the BT Work Ready Programme, students engaged in a range of fun activities helping them understand their existing skill set and identify the skills they’d like to develop. They got to know some of their peers and understand the importance of teamwork, before exploring the BT Group offices and some of the latest tech innovations that are changing lives every day.

They also had a chance to hear about the BT staff’s own education pathways. Students then learnt about a range of different careers and explored how they are already developing digital and personal skills, which are essential in the modern workplace.

Finally, students got a taste of innovative technology at the heart of BT Group, as they watched a virtual tour of BT Aurora Future Zone that contained some of the cutting-edge technology that will shape the future world. Students then put their digital skills into action and come up with their own product ideas before presenting them to their peers. The students did an amazing job of presenting back to the other schools who were involved in the day.
