Opportunities For Our Most Able Students
The new term has started with our key stage 4 Most Able students taking the opportunity to visit Pembroke College which forms one of the 31 colleges of Cambridge University.
The students were able to experience a day in the life of a university student, at one of the world's best universities. This included meeting current students for a Q&A about applying and studying at Cambridge, a tour of the campus and a university lecture on English Civil War.
Our new year 11 ‘Further Maths’ students have already started studying for their additional GCSE with Mr Mason. Well done to all students for their early commitment to this, and giving up your Friday evenings for this.
There will be lots of further opportunities over the course of the year for all of the Lealands Most Able students to engage in a range of enrichment activities. I look forward to an exciting academic year ahead.
