If you are unsure who to contact, please telephone our school's receptionist, Mrs Downey, on 01582 611600 and she will direct your call. 

The school reception is open from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday and 8am to 3.30pm on Fridays - term time only.

If you need to contact the school outside of these hours, or the reception line is busy when you call, please leave a message on the answer machine and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.

Alternatively, please email admin@lealands.luton.sch.uk or message us through our parent app, MyED. These services are checked regularly during school hours and your message will be passed to the relevant member of staff/department and dealt with as soon as possible.

Lealands High School has a dedicated Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) - Mr Hall. If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.

Contacting school staff

School staff will always be happy to speak to parents/carers to discuss any matters parents wish to raise.  Please be aware that teaching and educational support staff will have very limited times during the school day when they are available to speak, but will return your call as soon as possible.

If you wish to speak to a member of the school staff, please telephone reception or email
admin@lealands.luton.sch.uk making the subject FAO staff name and your request/email will be forwarded to the staff member to telephone you.

We believe that email communication should be used in a limited way by staff so that they can focus on teaching, planning and assessment.  Therefore, individual staff do not email parents/carers directly as the most efficient way to communicate, avoiding misunderstanding, is through telephone contact or in a meeting when clarification can be given and received.  

Should you need to pass on an urgent message or speak to someone about an urgent issue, please make that clear when speaking to reception and they will ensure that an appropriate person can speak to you.
